Arnhem Cup
Het internationale handbal toernooi wat Eurosportring samen met de Arnhemse handbal verenging Esca voor de 16e maal organiseert is uitgegroeid tot één van de meest populaire toernooien in het programma van Eurosportring.
Ook dit jaar op 7 en 8 april gaan er weer 76 teams van start voornamelijk jeugd onder de 18 jaar strijden op Valkenhuizen om 4 plaatsen.
De toernooiorganisatie heeft ook dit jaar weer belangstelling uit verschillende landen o.a. uit Frankrijk die de laatste jaren veel worden gezien op dit toernooi.Arnhem is met zijn unieke uitgaansleven op de korenmarkt erg in trek voor jongelui maar ook de ouderen zijn hier erg over te spreken.
Vanaf vrijdag 6 april vinden op Valken huizen vanaf 15.00 uur de inschrijvingen plaats van de teams die zich hebben aangemeld.Er wordt geslapen op het Arentheem college maar ook op verschillende andere locaties in en buiten Arnhem.
Een primeur voor dit toernooi is dat er voor het eerst gefloten wordt door scheidsrechters die dit jaar bij het NHV hun opleiding hebben afgerond.Zij worden nauwlettend gevolgd door docenten die met video opnamen de tekortkomingen bespreken na de wedstrijd.Wij zijn het NHV afdeling scheidsrechters opleidingen dan ook dankbaar dat zij 2 dagen bij ons aanwezig willen zijn.
Vanaf 1 maart sluit de inschrijving via Eurosportring, en gaan we het wedstrijd schema publiceren.Er zijn dan enkele plaatsen beschikbaar voor regio teams.Voor informatie over dit toernooi kunt u contact opnemen met Jan Wensink 026-3618075.

The international handball tournament organized for the 16th time by Eurosportring together with Arnhem based handball club ESCA is one of the most popular tournaments in the Eurosportring programme.
On the 7th and 8th of April this year, 76 teams will compete at Valkenhuizen Sports Centre for 4 prizes. The competing teams are mainly youth teams (under 18). There was massive interest for this tournament from various countries.
Arnhem, with its unique nightlife at the ‘Korenmarkt’ will appeal to both adults and youngsters. Starting Friday the 6th of April, the participating teams will arrive in Arnhem. The teams will stay at a local school (the Arentheem College), but also in various locations throughout the Arnhem region.
From this year on, the matches will be led by graduates of the Dutch Handball Association’s (NHV) referee school. They will be followed closely by theis teachers, with whom they will do an evaluation of the match afterwards. We are very grateful to the NHV for their presence during the two days of our tournament.
